A Journey to Rwanda: Stories of Hope - Friday, May 16th 6:30 pm

Harwood Union High School Students have recently returned from their fourth visit to Rwanda. Hear what these young members of our community are doing to make a difference in a country emerging from the effects of genocide. These student ambassadors will share their experiences which include; a trip to a coffee plantation, craft co-operatives, and Rwandan schools. Included in this event will be a silent auction, highlighting unique Rwandan crafts.
The mission of the Rawandan Educational Program (REP) is to sustain a program that partners their school with Rwandan High Schools for a cultural exchange, offering the opportunity to explore diversity and celebrate commanalities.
The event begins at 6:30 PM on Friday, May 16th at *81 Demeritt Place in Waterbury.
